HOW DO YOUR CLASSES WORK?

We teach steps, not just moves and how to dance with a partner well. We firmly believe this gives greater enjoyment, longevity and is safer for each person. We strive to teach with dignity and compassion, giving each dancer individual support. It is our experience after dancing and teaching for over 20 years than you can never get too much of the fundamentals. We encourage dancers to take classes several times to really cement the dance style into the body and mind. Knowing the fundamentals allows for greater enjoyment of dance and for creativity. As is standard across the social dancing industry we do change partners throughout classes in order to help individuals grow in their skills and facilitate learning. No one is mandated to change partners, though it is encouraged.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

Pre-registration with full payment is strongly recommended as classes are limited to 30 participants. A waiting list will be created and you will be on the list for the next session first or if anyone drops before the first night.

Email, text or PM via Facebook your name,  which class you are interested in attending, how which payment method you will be using and we will add you to the class roster.

HOW DO I PAY?

We accept Zelle, Monique McConnell, 928-899-3618 or Cash at the door the first night of class. All Practice dances and Dance Parties are cash at the door.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE A PARTNER?

No partner is required to join our classes as we all dance with each other during class sessions as this helps with learning, but it’s great if you can bring a friend to learn and practice with!

WHERE ARE CLASSES AND DANCES HELD?

Our dance classes and monthly practice dances are held at the Elks Performing Arts Center at 117 E Gurley St., Prescott on the second floor, Dance Studio 2.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

We highly recommend low heeled dance shoes or boots with suede or leather soles to avoid ankle and knee strain for all our classes. Shoes must be worn in all classes and dances, no socks, bare feet or flip flops are allowed in class.

WHEN SHOULD I SHOW UP?

It is strongly recommended that you arrive 5-10 minutes before class starts to get settled and warm up.  Doors open 15 minutes before classes or dances start.

CAN I DROP IN FOR A CLASS?

Drop-ins are welcome with instructor approval as our classes are progressive and each class builds upon the previous class. Drop in cost is $20.00 per person.

WHAT IF I MISS A CLASS?

If you know you are going to miss a class we will provide make up time for the lesson you missed. ***No discounts or refunds will be given after the first class.

CAN I RECORD THE CLASSES FOR REVIEW DURING THE WEEK?

Video recording of the end of lesson review is allowed but cannot be posted on social media or shared with people not registered for the class.

DO YOU DO PRIVATE LESSONS?

Each additional person or lead/follow couple is an additional $10 an hour up to 3 couples.
